SUSTAINABILITY · OUR STANDARDS
Better choices. Lower impact.
The way we deliver our work has an impact beyond the finished surface. Materials are purchased and transported, resources are consumed and waste is generated, which means environmental responsibility has to be considered throughout project delivery rather than treated as an afterthought.
Our approach is focused on practical action: planning material requirements carefully, avoiding unnecessary consumption, considering opportunities for reuse, separating waste appropriately and working with our people, suppliers and project partners to support responsible environmental practices.
OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Responsibility built into delivery.
Environmental management begins by understanding where our activities create an impact and where better decisions can make a difference.
Material efficiency is an important part of that approach. Accurate planning and appropriate ordering can help reduce surplus materials before they become waste. Where materials remain suitable for use, opportunities for responsible reuse should be considered wherever practical.
Where waste cannot be avoided, effective segregation helps support appropriate recovery and recycling. Paint containers, packaging and other project waste require suitable handling, storage and disposal arrangements in accordance with the requirements of the project and applicable waste-management processes.
Our environmental responsibilities also extend beyond waste. The way materials are sourced, delivered, stored and used can all influence environmental performance. Working efficiently and coordinating requirements with project teams can help reduce unnecessary activity while maintaining the programme and quality expected by our clients.
Environmental responsibility depends on people. We therefore want our teams to understand the environmental expectations associated with their work and recognise the contribution that everyday decisions can make.
Our approach is one of continual improvement. As materials, technology, client expectations and industry practices develop, we will continue looking for practical opportunities to use resources more efficiently, reduce unnecessary environmental impact and strengthen the way environmental considerations are integrated into H&S delivery.
