CORPORATE GOVERNANCE · OUR STANDARDS
Bribery Policy Statement - Integrity in business.
Trust is built not only through what we deliver, but through the way we conduct ourselves while delivering it. H&S expects business relationships to be approached professionally, honestly and responsibly.
Our approach to bribery and improper conduct is part of the wider standards of integrity, accountability and transparency we expect across our business relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, partners and colleagues.
OUR COMMITMENT TO INTEGRITY
Do business the right way.
Ethical business conduct starts with clear expectations. People representing H&S should understand that commercial success must never come at the expense of integrity.
Our approach is centred on honest and transparent business relationships, appropriate decision-making and individual accountability. Those principles apply whether we are working with clients, selecting suppliers, managing subcontractors, tendering for work or representing H&S in other professional situations.
Gifts, hospitality, commercial relationships and potential conflicts can create situations requiring careful judgement. Where questions arise, the appropriate response is to seek guidance rather than make assumptions.
Responsibility extends beyond individual conduct. A strong ethical culture requires people to feel able to raise concerns where behaviour appears inconsistent with company standards or applicable requirements. Concerns should be treated appropriately and addressed through the relevant company channels.
Management also has an important role in setting expectations and reinforcing the standards expected from those working for and on behalf of H&S.
Our objective is to protect the trust placed in H&S by clients, employees and business partners by maintaining a culture in which integrity, fairness and accountability are part of everyday business decisions.
The formal Bribery Policy Statement should be consulted for the company's approved policy wording and specific requirements.
