Brief
Our Client, we’re asked to complete a substantial, full-scale refurbishment looked not only at the existing floorspace within the building, but also at adding more space through clever structural reconfigurations. We partially-infilled the atrium to gain more internal floorspace and built stunning winter garden balconies into the wall to provide innovative communal breakout zones.
Solution
The building is now fitted with a bespoke ceiling raft system that features integrated lighting, heating and cooling. The mechanical, electrical and power infrastructure was entirely replaced and boasts a sustainable design to ensure energy efficiency and alignment with targeted BREEAM Excellent and Fitwel requirements. In addition, to meet the increased energy requirements for greater occupancy, a new mains power supply was installed and the existing three lifts were replaced.
